To begin with it's a way of standing out from the crowd, following a fashion that is in the minority and isn't followed by the majority of individuals in today's society.One noticeable thing that makes alternative clothing so bold is simply the colours and far-fetched crazy designs, mixed with slightly morbid and dark based themes. Band t-shirts are also a massive part of the alternative clothing culture, a lot of males and females will purchase their favourite bands merchandise to show off to others, likewise with gothic footwear that can be very extravagant to say the least as more and more people are wearing Victorian boots, motorcycle boots and moon boots.
